I was very fortunate to be able to design the very first edition of FOLIO. Supported by a grant from the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts, FOLIO is Africa’s newest, peer-reviewed journal of architecture. With twenty-six articles ranging from landscape architecture to poetry-in-motion, FOLIO showcases the work of African architects and academics committed to shaping the discourses that define contemporary built environments.
FOLIO has a smaller than usual format, comfortable enough to hold in one hand. This inaugural edition had a 19.5 mm spine and the cover was made extra special with a black foil finish. FOLIO is available in Johannesburg at the Graduate School of Architecture and Love Books, in Cape Town at The Book Lounge, in Chicago at the Graham Foundation and in London at the AA Bookstore.
